First of all, the obligatory "Holy cow! - another year of running this fanpage!" - hard to believe it has now been online for 18 years!

Breaking news on the publishing schedules and all other projects:

• Bryan has been commissioned by Sunderland City Council to draw the "Keel Line" in the city's brand new city-center square:
  

  "At 291m the line represents the full length of the Naess Crusader, which is the longest ship ever built in Sunderland. It launched from the James Laing shipyard on December 21, 1972.

  The length of the line will include the names of up to 9,000 of the most significant ships built in Sunderland’s shipyards dating back to the early 19th Century.

  Artist Bryan Talbot, author of the graphic novel Alice in Sunderland, has been contracted to design how the names of the ships are presented and the illustrations that will run the length of line.

  Bryan said today: “I have never done anything like this before, so it’s very exciting.

  “The shipbuilding theme will be represented throughout the line."
  
  Bryan said to me: "I've nearly finished all the illustrations, which are going to be sandblasted into granite paving stones for the Keel Line."

• And I've just contacted the Arkwright RPG publishers for an update as to when it will be out: will post here as soon as I get it.
• And news on the Luther Arkwright TV series / film: For over a year a British director, and Ridley Scott's production company, Scott Free, have been trying to get a Game of Thrones style TV series of Arkwright off the ground. Ultimately nothing came of it, due to a change of editorial direction of the broadcaster they were dealing with. So the option for Arkwright is now with Hollywood production company Benderspink, who have 3 months to try and raise interest to get a series or a feature off the ground....
  BUT - Bryan also says: "Don't get your hopes up! This has been going on for years."
