Though we've had comic conventions in the U.K., in hotels or convention centres for decades, LICAF is the only European-style comics festival in Britain, taking over the town of Kendal and involving the local community. Run along the lines of a literary festival, it's now in its third year. Tickets for all the events go on sale Monday 1st June.
