Arvon calling! - get taught how to write graphic novels by Bryan Talbot!

After a year's absence, while The Hurst, writer John Osbourne's erstwhile house in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, has had a multmillion pound makeover, Bryan's annual 5-day residential creative writing course for Graphic Novels returns July 28th - August 2nd. Now, each student room has its own ensuite bathroom and the learning areas and equipment are brand new and state of the art.

"During this week we will explore the form of the graphic novel, be that far-flung adventure, low-key character-driven stories, reportage, documentary or autobiography. You'll be given the information and skills that you'll need to translate your concepts, of whatever genre, into fully realised scripts for sequential art."

This year, Bryan's co-tutor is comics writer Leah Moore and the visiting speaker is cartoonist, illustrator and storyboard artist Adam Cadwell
