A lass dressed as Billie at the Newcastle Film and Comic Convention in March

there are days when being Bryan's webmaster is one of the Best Things In The World - EVER. OK - that's probably every day when I get to say "I'm Bryan Talbots fanpage webmaster y'know!" - but there are some days that are even better than that.

Like today: after one of those days at the Day Job - you know the kind? - I get home and what is waiting for me? - nothing less than my review copy of Sally Heathcote: Suffraggette! - sent to me because Bryan said to his publishers "please add James to the list of people on the review copy list!"

Until you've been a starving fanboy and had to make the decision betwen eating and buying a comic, you have got no idea how good this makes me feel!*

And the fact that the graphic novel is just amazing just adds to it off course! Bryan has asked me to say no more and hold off on reviewing it here on the site until all of the review copies have been sent out and everyone has had a chance to write them, so I will hang back until the embargo is lifted: all I will say is - I think the Talbots should expect some more literary awards after this...

* and of course buying a comic won out over eating! - a comic lasts for ever: hunger goes away... - eventually...

Also new today are some photos sent by Bryan: Seen at The Newcastle Film and Comic Convention in March: Detective Inspector LeBrock, Billie (a different one from the Billie who turned up at the Lakes Festival - is this a trend?) and the costume contest-winning Kaya Smith as Legolas. Kaya is Jordan Smith's daughter and posed for the cover of Alice in Sunderland 8 years ago.
